A Landmark Women and Newborn Healthcare Facility

The Perth Women and Babies Hospital is a major new healthcare development in Western Australia, designed to provide world-class care for women, newborns and families. The project forms part of a broader initiative by the WA Government to enhance women’s and children’s health services across the state.

Located within the Fiona Stanley Hospital precinct, the development will replace services currently offered by King Edward Memorial Hospital and create more than 1,400 jobs during construction.

Expanding Services for Women, Newborns and Families

The new hospital is being designed to deliver a comprehensive range of services, including maternity care, neonatal intensive care, and family support services. The facility will improve access to specialist care and provide choice for women and families across Western Australia.

The project will feature:

• State-of-the-art maternity and neonatal facilities
• Integrated care pathways for women and newborns
• Modern clinical spaces designed to support patient safety and comfort
• Expansion of associated outpatient and support services

These facilities will support a high standard of care and enhance the patient experience for women, babies and their families.

Project Delivery and Construction Partners

The project is being delivered by a Managing Contractor appointed by the WA Government, with construction of multi-deck car parks and temporary facilities managed to support the hospital build.

Redback Health’s Role in FF&E Procurement

Redback Health Services has been engaged to provide full FF&E procurement for the Perth Women and Babies Hospital project. The team is responsible for specifying, sourcing and managing furniture, fixtures and equipment to ensure clinical and support areas are fully operational and fit for purpose.
